Downtown Sault Ste. Marie Vision

In August 2015, The Michigan Municipal League commissioned Campbell Planning & Architecture (in conjunction with Seamless Collaborative) to develop Place Plans for Maloney Alley and one other downtown site.

U.S.-31 Form-Based Code

In October 2017, Filer Township commissioned Campbell Planning & Architecture (along with Greg Elliot at McKenna) to prepare a Form-Based Code for its U.S.-31 corridor south of Manistee, MI. Multiple views of the preliminary Regulating Plan have been completed thus far.

North Village Park Design

In January of 2017, Northfield Twp., MI invited Campbell Planning & Architecture (with Paul Lippins at MCKenna) to conduct public engagement in a design for their  recently acquired site on Whitmore Lake for a park, housing, retail, a bandshell, a marina, and a beach.

Meridian Twp. Master Plan

In 2016, Meridian Twp. commissioned Campbell Planning and McKenna to develop Concept Plans for three sub-area within their jurisdiction as the main thrust of their 5-year Comprehensive Plan update. Sites included Haslett, Carriage Hill, and a connection between Okemos and a new Grand River Ave. BRT station, where a church parking lot barrier was transformed into a parking green.

Realize Cedar Corridor Plan

At the annual Michigan Associaion of Planning (MAP) Conference on Mackinac Island, this project received a 2017 planning award. Campbell Planning (along with McKenna and Russell Design) had been engaged in January 2016 by Delhi Twp. to re-design and code the streetscape from N. of East Willoughby Rd. to S. of Holt Rd.

Shipping Container Bungalows

In March 2017, Campbell Planning was challenged by John Jackson at McKenna to create a Concept Sketch for the deployment of shipping containers as housing along Wyoming Ave. in Royal Oak Twp., MI to promote (on behalf of the township) a global design competition to generate additional alternatives.
